Good Morning, Vietnam!!

We've added this lovely country to our trip. We may have to bump out Kuala Lumpur (although I'm still hopeful we might have enough time for the Batu Caves...), but Vietnam does seem more exciting. And I will get some truly authentic PHO! I watched an Anthony Bourdain "No Reservations" episode where he goes to Vietnam, and it just looked fantastic. Besides the food draw, outside Hanoi is Halong Bay. After Boston wanted to go and reading my old roommate Shellie rave about it, we decided to spend a night on a boat out there. It will something along these lines although probably more low-budget. http://www.indochinasails.com/en/ I've even found the hotel I want to stay in already: http://www.thejasminehotel.com/index.php

You have to get your visas there before you arrive in Vietnam. They will turn you away at the airport and make you go back to where you came from, but you can apply for it online before you go.

I'm sure this will change, but here's the plan:

Bangkok, Thailand to Phuket, Thailand to Chiang Mai, Thailand to Hanoi, Vietnam to Siem Reap, Cambodia to Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia to some beach, Phillippines to Manila, Phillippines.

If you're keeping track of your countries, that is 5 now. Yes, we're a bit nutty. Less than a month!!
